Temple town of Mukteshwar in Uttarakhand is witnessing an increase in the number of tourists post lockdown and ease in travel restrictions. The hill-town which was famous among the millennials and solo travellers is now seeing a shift with more families opting for long stays. Demand for workation has picked up and the hotels and homestays in the area are coming up with numerous packages. Cottage Ananda, situated in the heart of Mukteshwar has witnessed a 200% increase in the business post lockdown. In an interaction with ETHospitalityWorld, Richa Singh Tyagi, Founder of Cottage Ananda mentioned that visitors are preferring long stay which is giving a boost to the business. “The proximity from Delhi or neighbouring cities of NCR is fascinating people to be here. People in the service sector are making best use of this unprecedented work from home phase of life,” she stated.
